Birding in La Mancha

Navaseca lagoon, very peculiar and unknown place to experience the best Birding in La Mancha, located a few 2 miles from Daimiel and very near of the Tablas de Daimiel National Park. The lagoon of Navaseca is now in “a relief” the breeding of birds of some 1,000 80 different species that are breeding in these moments.

Ducks azulones, mallards friezes, rednecks, jugs, Malvasia and Red ducks, In addition to gulls, egrets or black-winged stilts are just some of the species that have found shelter in the lagoon, located a short distance from Las Tablas de Daimiel National Park.

Among its more than 1,000 birds it is remarkable and is a great incentive contemplating striking flamingos which are exceptionally concentrated in this lagoon, When in the Tablas de Daimiel National Park had not warned for some time.

This lagoon is currently maintained with water throughout the year thanks to the water treatment plant in Daimiel. Despite this the status of water is more than acceptable, While it is true that in summer the smell is a bit annoying for complete gourmet experience.

It is without doubt an exceptional site for those who love and enjoy the Ornithology.

My Special thanks to July Dopacio ( customer and friend of Casa de Pacas ), by the transfer of images taken during your stay at our farm.
