The new Calatrava Castle
The The new Calatrava Castle which stands on a rocky hill called Alacranejo, in the municipality of Aldea del Rey, south of the province of Ciudad Real.

The great fortress of the Calatravos, more than 45.000 m2, was erected to be the great headquarters of the order, replacing the city ofCalatrava la Vieja. His church, convent, Puebla inn and outdoor enclosure, surrounded by fortifications, they formed an authentic medieval fortified city.
